MAUKRAAD

While I reconstructed Sméagol's stroy and his many whereabouts, I came to the realization he was in fact imprisoned for long years in the dungeons of Barad-dur, in Mordor. Therefore, something else than his will to resist and his capability to endure pain and hunger probably would have aid him in keeping alive, in any way, through the tortures he suffered then, most probably every day.
Here we have Maukraad, a huge Uruk hai, (who we could call an o.c. of mine), whose intervention most surely saved Sméagol from certain death more than once. Shagrat, captain of the torturers of Barad-dur, has put the hulking Maukraad in charge of keeping the small prisoner alive until all the information they need from him is obtained...Thus we have him here, running to tend for an agonizing Sméagol after an extremely violent torture, by giving him the medicine orcs use and know of: The same sort of burning water to drink, and the dark ointment which were given to Merry and Pippin as well, when they were carried by Grishnaak's company by the breaking of the fellowship.
