Description

This is what the skeksis court might have looked like, when they were much younger and the world itself was so, too.
About 100 years after their claiming of the Crystal castle, the skeksis- who formerly tended to simply walk around completely naked except for complex metal helmets and beak-adornments- had developed the ise of clothing in order to distinguish each from the rest and vie for personal status and impresiveness.
They were not exactly evil these days, but more of hedonistic, eccentric rulers who threw enormous parties at the castle, and hired multiple gelflings and podlings as service and assistance for them.
As you can see, here the canon ten of them were represented. Some of the fellows who were alive at the time are missing in this picture, why so?...Well, nobody knows with certainty, but at the time the Illustrator SkekLa drew and painted this "court portrait" these were the only skeksis present at the castle lands.
Where the others were at the time of being inmortalized in canvas, remains a mistery.
Note how the clothes of the court were at the time, if already designed to emphatize their forms and size, not so to cover as much as possible, as would happen in the latter years.
At this time, the skeksis were still phisically strong and youthful, with thick manes crowning their heads and feathers covering their shoulders. Proud of their bodies, they made clothes to show them and aggrandize them instead of ones which would hide them. The secondary pair of arms they possess were funcyional too, at the time.

Now: could you tell who is who in this youth portrait of the group?

Enjoy!

I like the bright colors. And the hair. Definitely the hair.
