Description
This is the profile portrait I made for SkekLa the Illustrator (or shall we say she did it for herself?)
She is my skeksis Original Character.
This drawing was thought to become an illustration for a custom journsl skin my friend 
will eventually create, for whuch I thank her on advance!
here, the skeksis Illustrator proudly greets us with a flutter of her left hand, in a small color portrait.
On her vest pocket, we can see a scroll of parchment, perhaps still not used, but well kept for drawing emergency (which tends to overcome her quite often), and on her metal-clawed right hand she holds her favorite drawing quill.
This skeksis would be headcanonly set in an A.U. (Alternate Universe) of the timeline and lore of the classic masterpiece by Jim Henson (The Dark Crystal, 1982)
By her side and to the right, I sketched the two signs which she would use to represent herself, an ancient sigil, and an emblem.
The upper one is her ancient sigil, the one which marked her standing place at the circle in the engraved floor's pattern, where replenishing sun ceremonies and complex rites were performed by the skeksis in the Crystal Chamber.
The second is "Claw and Quill", a sign she created for herself, to symbolize her two more defining features: The metal claw which holds her broken and mishap right index in place, and the red drawing quill, dragging behind them a small trace of black ink.
It both represents her in the sense of showing off her prominent characteristics, and also by telling us, with the small trace coming out of the quill and the claw, that she is "ever drawing".
